Fish Stocking Options
While most sports fishermen are after a big bass, that may not be what you are looking for. You could be looking to give the grandkids a place to gain experience and catch fish quickly to keep them excited about fishing. You may enjoy trolling the bottom for channel catfish. We stock a large variety of fish that meet not only your preferences, but can improve the health of your pond.

Large Mouth Bass Stocking
Bass is a favorite among most sports fishermen. They strike aggressively and put up a great fight when you get them on the hook. They can grow up to 1.5 lbs per year when properly managed. They are unique predators, they prefer well-established structures for cover so that they can both, ambush their prey, as well as hide from larger predators.
Golden Shiners
Golden Shiners eat a variety of zooplankton, insects, and phytoplankton. They prefer to live in quiet, weedy bodies of water. Shiners are incredibly tolerant of polluted and degraded habitats, such as runoff or farm ponds, with heavy nitrates.

Bluegill Stocking
Bluegill can grow up to 12 inches long and about 4 pounds. They are great for the grandkids to build up confidence and experience fishing. They are fun and easy to catch and can make great accompanying fish for Bass. You should catch and release if Bass is the main goal. We also offer the hybrid bluegill if you are looking to put some meat on the table. Nothing better than eating!
Crappie Stocking
Some people like Bass, but there is nothing better than getting into a nest of crappie. Crappie can grow up to 18 inches and weigh about 4 pounds but the average is about 10-13 inches and 2-3 pounds. They spawn earlier than bass and require the same resources, so if you plan on stocking Bass, pass on the crappie.

Catfish Stocking
Bass and Crappie are fun, but now we are getting into some serious lunkers. If you want the adventure of reeling in a 15-20 lb fish, catfish is what you want to stock. In the wild, they have been known to grow to well over 100 lbs
Grass Carp Stocking
Grass Carp are incredible for weed control. They can eat up to 3 times their body weight a day and grow up to 5 lbs a year. If you are having an issue with duckweed, moss, or other aquatic weeds this is a must.

Shellcracker
Redear sunfish to biologists, or “chinquapin” to Louisiana anglers, these feisty fish typically favor deeper haunts, but when a dozen plump females moved into a sunny spot with clear water, I thought it would be a lights-out deal.
