At Edge’s Aquatic Services, community involvement is something we try to participate in when the farm allows us the time. Fish Farming is a 24/7 occupation and a life of constant nurturing and caretaking. As a local, family-run operation rooted in the Dublin-Laurens surrounding area, we believe deeply in supporting organizations and events that strengthen our region, protect natural resources, and create meaningful opportunities for everyone to enjoy the outdoors.

That’s why we were honored to attend and support the 2026 Laurens County Handicap Sportsman’s Association Disability Banquet, an annual fundraising event dedicated to helping individuals with physical challenges experience the joy of fishing, hunting, and outdoor recreation. We also attended this event last year and are already looking forward to the 2027 banquet.

The Importance of Community

Building a Stronger Community Through Outdoor Activities

Outdoor sports like fishing and hunting are more than hobbies in these parts — they are traditions that foster patience, resilience, conservation awareness, and a deep respect for nature. These activities connect people to the land, teach responsibility, and build lasting bonds between families and communities. Hunting, fishing, and nature lovers are all integral communities of Southern culture and ones we strive to preserve.

The Laurens County Handicap Sportsman’s Association works to ensure that physical limitations do not become barriers to these meaningful experiences. Through fundraising efforts such as their annual banquet and auction, the organization raises vital support to provide equipment, access, and opportunities for individuals with disabilities to enjoy fishing and hunting alongside friends, family, and fellow sportsmen.

We strongly believe that everyone deserves access to the outdoors, regardless of physical ability.

Conservation & Community

As a working fish farm and pond management company, conservation is central to our mission. Our way of life wouldn’t exist without the value of nature. Healthy waterways, responsibly managed water bodies, and sustainable outdoor practices benefit not only today’s sportsmen, but future generations as well. Our hopes is that passion and value in the fish and game sector will last for generations to come.

By supporting organizations like the Laurens County Handicap Sportsman’s Association, we aim to:

  • Promote ethical fishing and hunting practices
  • Support conservation-focused outdoor recreation
  • Encourage inclusive access to sporting opportunities
  • Strengthen community ties through shared traditions

These values align naturally with our daily work in aquaculture, pond management, and sport fish production.

A Night of Purpose & Community

The annual Disability Banquet brings together local businesses, families, and outdoor enthusiasts for a night of commnity, fundraising, and shared purpose. The event’s auction and gathering generate vital resources that directly impact local individuals and families, while also fostering a spirit of unity and service.

We are grateful for the opportunity to participate, contribute, and stand alongside others who believe in building a more inclusive outdoor community.

The Community Looking Forward

We look forward to continuing our support of local organizations that promote conservation, accessibility, and community connection. Outdoor sports shape character, encourage stewardship of natural resources, and create lifelong memories — and we are proud to help ensure those experiences remain accessible to all.

From our farm to your family, thank you for supporting local conservation, outdoor traditions, and inclusive community initiatives.
